Personal Statement
Born and
raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, my journey to the natural healing
arts – reconnecting body, mind, and spirit – is an evolving journey
and a homecoming at the same time It is a journey that respects
diversity and inclusivity of all people.
Mission
To support you on your
journey to take a better care of yourself through the natural healing
arts. The working paradigm focuses on acupressure points as gateways to
healing.
Acupuncture
Kyle is a licensed acupuncturist in Hawaii (ACU 862) and California (AC 12535), and a national diplomate of Oriental Medicine and Chinese Herbology (#26332) (NCCAOM). He is a graduate of the Acupuncture and Integrative College (AIMC) of Berkeley, CA, and completed doctoral work at Five Branches University, San Jose, CA. Kyle is also a clinical supervisor of student interns at AIMC. He has volunteered his services with those recovering from drug addictions and HIV/AIDS.
Bodywork
An instructor and coordinator
of the Asian Bodywork Therapy program at the University of Hawaii
Kapiolani Community College campus, he is well-loved and respected by
the students and colleagues. Kyle is a nationally registered instructor
(AOBTA #3509), a national diplomate of Asian Bodywork Therapy (NCCAOM
#26332), nationally certified in Western bodywork (NCBTMB #282780) and
licensed in the state of
Hawaii
(MAT#5299).
Yoga
A nationally registered yoga
teacher (R.Y.T. #1198) for over 10 years, he has special teaching
certifications with Integrative Yoga Therapy, White Lotus Vinyasa Yoga,
advanced Hatha Yoga by Erich Schiffman, and Yin Yoga by Sarah Powers and
Paul Grilley and Restorative Yoga with Judith Lasater. He has taught at the Pacific School of Religion (

Pastoral Counseling
Kyle also has formal
training in pastoral counseling and spiritual direction. He has a
Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology (M.S.C.P.) and Master of
Divinity (M.Div.) with special residential inter-faith training at the

for Spiritual Direction (

AZ
).
Other
Kyle also holds current
certifications in CPR, First Aid, and home health aide; and current YMCA
group exercise teaching certification. Other educational degrees include
B.S. genetics, B.A. sociology, M.P.H. public health.
